STRICTLY STORIES - CONFERENCE 26TH SEPTEMBER 2014 FIELDER CENTRE, HERTFORDSHIRE
A conference on how patient/service user/carer stories can be used to improve patient care is being planned for September.
The workshop will present a range of stories including
- The experience of a young person who required Child and Adolescent Mental Health services
- Carer of a lady who is also going to tell her story via her iPad
- Tommy Whitelaw presenting his experience of caring for his mum Joan who had dementia
- Services users who have little or no communication.
Attendees on the day will then have the opportunity to consider how they can use stories to influence the care they or their organisations provides. This will include looking at what skills and support staff need to routinely use stories to improve practice and patient care.
We will publish details on this conference as soon as we have them available. In the meantime if you have any queries about this event please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
