Quality Assurance Visits

Quality Assurance Visits

Part of our role in assessing the quality of health services in East and North Hertfordshire involves a Quality Visit programme to acute hospitals, community hospitals, mental health units and out of hours GP bases.

These visits aim to provide further assurance and compliance with national and local guidance.

As part of this process Patient & Carer members now receive training so they can join our Quality Nursing Team on these visits. The training follows a 15 step challenge from which you should be able to assess the quality of the care environment.

Patient participation in this area has proved to be extremely valuable for all concerned - our members feel empowered to contribute to improving quality; while patients and families value the opportunity to share their experiences of the care they have received.

If you'd like to find out more about quality assurance visits or find out how you can get involved, please email us here with your enquiry.
